Giving FAQs

  • We’re committed to transparency! Your donation goes directly toward building and maintaining our green space. This includes creating a thriving garden with seasonal fruits, vegetables, and herbs, constructing a pool, hot tub, and outdoor exercise area, overnight sleeping room, and establishing spaces for community classes, events, and relaxation. Funds also support educational materials for gardening and wellness programs, landscaping, cultural decorations, and ongoing maintenance. Every dollar helps build a sustainable, impactful space for the community.

  • We’re planning to raise money from Q1 2025 and possible Q2 2025. Construction of the green space will begin in Q3 2025, with official programming launching by Q4 2025. Your support accelerates this timeline and helps us bring this vision to life sooner!

  • Better Hoods & Gardens has a built-in network through its sister business, Rooted, a fitness studio in Inglewood, and Three’s a Crowd, a community of Black advertising and marketing professionals. These groups will be among the first to experience our space.

    Additionally, we’ll connect with the broader local community through a strong presence on Instagram and TikTok, and we’re even considering a local billboard to spread the word.

    For visitors coming to Inglewood for events at nearby SoFi Stadium or the Kia Forum, Better Hoods & Gardens will be available as a rental space for private events or an overnight stay, offering a unique local experience. And when the 2028 Olympics come to Inglewood, we’ll be ready to welcome guests, providing a memorable touch to their visit. Located less than two miles from these major venues, Better Hoods & Gardens is perfectly positioned to be a destination for both locals and visitors
